Hess’s Law

I miss the nerd version of myself.

I miss the me who believed I could be anything.

I miss making shapes out of clouds.

I miss my angst.

I miss doodling without the boredom.

I miss wondering about the taste of coffee.

I miss grapes.

I miss running through wet grass.

I miss sweating on the front porch.

I miss jumping over cracks.

I miss cough medicine and salt water.

I miss studying.

I miss getting smarter.

I miss growing.

I miss thinking the next day would be better.

I live so far in the clouds but sometimes I wish I could come down.

I can relate to this for sure, and feel I’ve been making an effort to get back to my nerd self over the last few years. Kinda goes hand in hand with the creativity, right? haha. I’m digging your blog and think you would be fun to have a coffee call with. The point of my project on here is to connect with as many strangers as I can via phone calls over coffee, record them, then release them on my blog. I figure those I’m following/popping up in my reader are a good place to start! We can chat about whatever, and I’ll definitely have talking points in mind specific to your posts, but I’m mainly looking for the conversations to be organic and just see where they go. Would this be something you’d be interested in? If so, you can email me at coffeeshopcalls@gmail.com with any questions or concerns, and we can setup a time to chat in the near future. If not, no worries!
